Steven H. Goldberg, M.D.
Steven H. Goldberg, MD attended the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with distinction in Biology and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He continued at the University of Pennsylvania medical school where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and was awarded the Morton McCutcheon Memorial Prize for research. He then completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center and received additional sub-specialty training as the Robert E. Carroll Hand and Microvascular Fellow at New York Orthopaedic Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian. Dr. Goldberg is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
Dr. Goldberg has written numerous journal articles and textbook chapters that include topics such as revision elbow arthroplasty, elbow arthritis, scapholunate ligament instability, cartilage restoration, treatment of osteoarthritis, and benign bone tumors. He is one of several recipients of a multi-center grant from the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand to study surgical treatment of basal joint arthritis of the thumb. Additionally, he was awarded two grants from the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association to study elbow arthroplasty, and a grant from the Orthopaedic Scientific Research Foundation to study nerve injury and repair. His clinical interests include congenital, acquired, and traumatic disorders of the upper extremity, with special interests in elbow reconstruction, wrist ligament injuries, arthroscopy, joint replacement, basilar thumb arthritis, and peripheral nerve repair.
